New Vacancy available in Darnell, Sheffield.


Link2recruitment are looking for someone who has a great work ethic, good attitude, affable nature, adaptable and flexible, able to carry out manual handling, resilient (to handle some physically demanding work in extruding department), and someone who is quick and willing to learn new skills, take on responsibility for good quality work and on time delivery.

Attention to detail including numeracy and literacy skills are important.


High work ethic including good rate of work output, taking the initiative and being able to put in extra hours if required to meet job requirements.

FLT experience essential

A full clean driving licence would be desirable.

The job involves working in a fast-paced production environment;
Training will be provided.

There may be requirement for the individual to work in any of 3 production departments so adaptability and flexibility are particularly important.


A good level of literacy and numerical skills are required and an understanding of route cards / works orders would be essential (standard in most manufacturing industries).


Working Hours:

Working hours are 8am-4.30pm Mon-Thursday and 8am-3.30pm on Fridays (39 hours/week)


However, flexibility on timings will be expected, as some days shifts may change to 6am-2.30pm or to work half-days to suit business needs.

Some weekend work may be required to suit business requirements including 3-4 stock take days a year which occur on a Saturday from 6am-11am


Pay Rate and Benefits:

- £9.50ph (min wage)

  • Holidays 28 days including Bank Holiday
  • Free day off for Birthday
  • Pension (People's Pension) after 12 weeks
  • Temp to Perm contract

Requirements:


  • Preference is for at least 2 years manufacturing experience, preferably working in a fastpaced production environment.
  • Key thing we are looking for is good personal characteristics good team worker, respectful, friendly, happy to learn new skills, work flexibly, adaptable, good communicator, takes the initiative, keen to progress in role, happy to work early mornings, late evenings or some weekends as business requires.
  • 3 months' probation with intention to convert to permanent if the person demonstrates skills that are attractive to us and personal characteristics including the right attitude
  • FLT experience essential
  • A full clean driving licence would be desirable
