    Role:
    Senior Design ManagerSalary: £60,000 – £70,000Location: North-West London

    Company Overview:
    We work with a London-based developer, known for their work in utility-scale Solar and battery storage (BESS). They have ambitious growth plans and the capital to achieve them, with over 2 GW currently in their pipeline.

    This position could lead to a "Head of" position for the right profile, following a set of exciting targetsIf you have experience delivering projects from inception to shovel-ready, particularly post land and grid being secured, navigating the UK planning system, and delivering exceptional confidence in local communities and authorities, we're eager to hear from you and present this outstanding opportunity.

    Role Responsibilities:
    Manage the conceptualization and design of projects, integrating aesthetic considerations with technical feasibility.

    Collaborate with Concept Design and Development teams to ensure master drawings align with technical specifications, feasibility studies, and structural requirements.

    Oversee the creation of AutoCAD designs for the Development team and assist with planning submissions utilising market-leading software packages including Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst & ArcGIS.Work with consultants and suppliers to gather product information and incorporate it into designs to improve quality.

    Stay updated on local and national regulations related to solar farms and engineering, ensuring conceptual designs adhere to regulatory requirements and obtain necessary approvals.

    Provide creative and technical direction and mentorship to junior members of the Concept Design team, collaborating with project managers to establish timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

    Explore emerging technologies and design trends in the solar and battery industry, integrating them into design concepts to maintain a competitive edge.


    Required Candidate Characteristics:
    Able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
    Conversant with International and UK design standards for solar PV systems.
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and concepts.
    Experience in a management position.
    Competency with Microsoft software alongside Adobe design software and similar tools.
