    The Role
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Deputy SENDco to join our ALS (Additional Learning Support) Department.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to teach and engage students with SEND and assess students requiring Exams Access Arrangements.

    The successful candidate should have specialist teaching experience with SEND students. Experience of supporting 16 – 19 age range students would be an advantage but is not essential.

    We are looking for a candidate who is completing or has completed the Exams Access Arrangement Qualification (Level 7) or equivalent.

    You will be supporting the Head of ALS and a team of LSA's in our newly refurbished and well-equipped department which has recently been OFSTED rated as Outstanding in provision for learners with High Needs.

    You will be providing academic and pastoral support to SEND students, participating in Annual Reviews, EHCP consultations, assessing for access arrangements and contributing to the planning and progression of the ALS department including enrichment and SEMH development.

    This is a full time, permanent role.

    The salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges' scale NJC scale (£35,125 - £51,758) plus Responsibility Allowance of (1,233 - £2,470) depending on experience, inclusive of Inner London Weighting.
