    Description

    Application Software Engineer - JavaScript

    A fantastic opportunity for a talented Software Developer, to join an industry-leading software company in Cambridge offering the opportunity to work on a wide variety of web application infrastructure projects using a diverse toolset, with an emphasis on JavaScript, and related frameworks. While some commercial experience is preferred, we encourage Graduates with top academics and experience with JavaScript to also apply.

    Location Cambridge office (3 days on site, 2 days remote)

    Salary £35,000 - £60,000 + comprehensive benefits (£35k would be for new graduate level)

    Requirements for Application Software Engineer - JavaScript

    • Ideally, you will have at least 1 year of commercial experience using JavaScript and ideally, and related technologies/frameworks
    • History of academic excellence including a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree from a leading university plus AAB at A Level (or equivalent UCAS points)
    • You class yourself as a tech innovator and the idea of shaping products and suggesting new technologies really appeals
    • Ability to quickly pick up new technologies working in JavaScript youre aware new technologies/frameworks emerge all of the time, and you will need to stay abreast of the latest and best technologies to apply to any given project
    • Good communication skills

    Responsibilities for Application Software Engineer - JavaScript

    Work on web applications using a diverse toolset based around JavaScript technologies. While there will be opportunities to work across the stack. The current tech stack includes:

    Web (UI): JavaScript , , , ), Less/CSS

    Web (Backend): , PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis

    • Develop, deploy and maintain web application infrastructure
    • Be a tech innovator and put ideas forward to the team
    • If you are keen there is the opportunity to mentor junior members of staff
