Amadeus is the NEC Group's multi award winning caterer, operating at some of the UK's greatest sporting and cultural events as well as at venues including Farnborough International, Stratford on Avon Racecourse and its home sites the NEC, the ICC, Utilita Arena Birmingham, and Resorts World Arena.

We have a variety of opportunities in the busy Amadeus kitchens across of the NEC, Resorts World Arena and the ICC and are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter to work on an Annualised Hours contract within the retail restaurants at the National Exhibition Centre.


What you will be doing:

To work as directed to ensure efficient delivery, cleaning and preparation of equipment, stock to each work area; ensuring all requirements are met and expectations are exceeded in accordance with Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.


Key Role and Responsibilities:


  • To clean and maintain areas to hygiene standards as requested
  • To maintain cleanliness to all catering equipment within the area
  • To follow verbal instruction from the manage
  • To follow all written guidelines with regards to use of chemicals
  • To comply with hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • To deliver equipment and stock to areas as and when required
  • To work in allocated area, ensure all clean and dirty equipment is returned to rightful area after use
  • To prepare and set up all front of house and back of house areas as required by following work sheets, function sheets and instructions from Back of House Supervisor and management
  • Uniform and PPE provided
  • Health and wellbeing are at our core and you will be required to ensure that the highest standard of food safety is adhered to
  • Work alongside likeminded individuals who have food at their heart
  • Working together as a team is paramount where we have fun in an exciting fast paced environment

  • Strong leadership skills and works well within the team or the ability to self motivate

Please Note:

Shifts that will be offered at The ICC will be between the hours of 9am and 8pm (09:00-20:00) or 6pm to 2am (18:00-02:00):

Please note, this role will require you to work around and with alcohol. This may mean you will be serving alcohol and or pouring alcoholic beverages for our customers
