Midland Mencap are pleased to announce an opportunity to join us in the role of 'Intervention Worker'.
You will work as part of an established team delivering an exciting project called PURE.

The purpose of the project is to assist adults with a Learning Disability in Birmingham to obtain sustainable employment, access training and vocational activities.


PURE:
"Placing vulnerable Urban Residents into Employment and training."
Your role will be to assist adults with a learning disability into work, employment, training and vocational opportunities.

The PURE project is delivering to Birmingham& Sutton Coldfield citizens with multiple and complex barriers who, as a consequence of their Learning Disability or other issues, are distant from the labour market.

Midland Mencap is Birmingham City Council's chosen provider to deliver on this European Social Fund project for individuals with a Learning Disability.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic, creative and pro-active individual with experience of working one-to-one with vulnerable individuals.

Desirable skills include prior experience working with adults with a learning disability, an awareness of employment pathways and knowledge of routes into learning/training.

Experience of working as part of a team towards contractual targets, outcomes and key performance indicators would be advantageous.

Although you will be locality based within Birmingham, this project is city-wide in its scope, it is essential that you have a full UK Driving License and the use of a car.

Contract length: 12 months

£10.90 per hour
