_Our client has a long, solid history of serving the construction industry, growing to turnover almost £20m. Having enjoyed a strong track record of growth in recent years, the company is now looking to further strengthen its Finance functionby appointing an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant.
- _Reporting to the FD, you will be responsible for providing a variety for hands-on support, ideally contributing to improving financial information to support decision-making.

_Your key responsibilities as Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant will include:

  • *
  • _General financial administration_
- _Purchase Ledger_
- _Sales Ledger_
- _Credit control_
- _Payroll_
- _Assisting with the production of management accounts and other financial information_

As Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant you will need:

  • *
  • _Strong recent experience gained in a similar role such as Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant, ideally gained in a fast-paced, hands-on, SME environment, such as manufacturing_
- _Strong fundamental accounting skills (including manual) with a progressive, positive, personable approach_
- _AAT study or qualification (or equivalent)_
- _Excellent IT skills, fully computer literate - comfortable with Office, accounting and industry software_
- _Proactive, with an adaptable, inquisitive, innovative, self-motivated, independent and focussed approach_
- _Open-minded - comfortable with diversity and communicating at all levels_
- _The potential to develop, enhance and improve yourself, the role and business_
