Finance Business Partner

Highly commercially successful and innovative tech business requires Finance Business Partner as it continues its rapid growth journey of 20 years.

Ambitious, profitable and PE backed, the company turns over c.£20m, offering a suite of products and servicesto online retailers that enable their growth with innovation, creative vision, leading edge technology and expert marketing central to their offering.

As Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for analysing financial and non-financial data and providing information to meet the needs of directors, senior managers and other key stakeholders to support the running of the business in achieving objectivesand results


More specifically, you will:

  • Hold monthly meetings with Account Directors to review client portfolio data and forecast revenue opportunities and client churn risk
  • Provide consistent monthly reporting to the Head of Client Success summarising global upsell opportunity and client churn risk, flagging variances to budget
  • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast to the Finance Director using the data gathered from the monthly meetings and ongoing discussions with Client Success
  • Analyse profitability by product, customer category, department and project and then supporting management in understanding and utilising this information
  • Design and streamline processes, seeking ways to improve access to information and efficiency in acquiring it
  • Lead with the budget process and partnering with the department heads to support them in making their budget submissions
  • Monitor key costs and forecasting spends with department heads to help control costs (primarily headcount) by accurately forecasting future needs, with a view optimising deployment of capital
  • Work closely with Sales and Demand Generation to understand the Sales pipeline, analysing conversion rates and costs to convert
  • Analyse month end figures and performing variance analysis, engaging with the wider business to understand reasons for variances, verify underlying information and determine whether changes to forecasts are required
  • Prepare board information focusing on variance analysis and specific board topics, calculating financial objectives and key results on a monthly basis
  • Assisting with the year end statutory audit and accounts process
  • Other ad hoc tasks according to training, experience and seniority, such as statutory reporting and dealing with accountancy, tax or legal advisors in support of the Finance Director

You'll offer:

  • Strong commercial and operational focus and desire to work in technology, ideally with experience gained in lead or senior Finance Business Partner, Commercial Accountant, Reporting Accountant or Management Accountant role
  • Experience of analysing large data sets and working with senior people expert in Excel, other analysis tools and comfortable with Sage
  • Gravitas, professionalism and capability to successfully influence and guide the senior team
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • An innovative approach and excellent ability to provide solutions to business challenges
  • First class time management and selfmotivation
  • Good organisation skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of reporting and presentation writing
  • Professionalism, Integrity and confidentiality in handling privileged information

Benefits:


  • Salary of £50,000 to £65,000 + benefits
