As Technical Officer you will be responsible for helping to deliver this programme and playing an important role in our EPC Band C and Zero Carbon journey.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Technical Officer will involve:

  • Supporting the Decarbonisation Project Manager manage a technical team to deliver retrofit projects efficiently, demonstrating consistently high levels of performance including maximising value for money and customer satisfaction
  • Leading design team meetings with the Retrofit Assessors, Retrofit Coordinators and Retrofit Designers, System Designers, and contractors design teams. Liaising with Planners and Building Control to ensure that full certification is provided for completed projects. Undertaking site visits to agree all design solutions and specifications of works required to meet the project brief
  • Compiling / reviewing fully detailed specifications, schedule of property works and full contract documents in compliance with relevant building regulations, legislation and the Groups Policies and Procedures. Ensuring properties are fully completed and lodged on Trustmark in line with PAS 2030 and PAS 203
  • Preparing and scrutinising tenders, undertaking thorough tender analysis and producing tender reports ready for approval of works
  • Monitoring and maintaining budgetary control throughout the contract ensuring a continually review and scrutiny of costs and compliance to specification. Provide regular financial reports on individual projects to update cash flow expectations, variations and anticipated outturns

As Technical Officer we need you to have:

  • Experience delivering retrofit projects in particular External Wall Insulation Contracts
  • Experience of procurement and delivery of major works programmes including contract management and budgetary control
  • Experience of project management including effective stakeholder consultation and monitoring of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the legislative frameworks applicable to the building/construction and social housing sectors for example PAS 2030 and PAS 2035
