A great opportunity to join the management team in this role of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for all quality, environmental, health and safety for this highly successfulconstruction contractor.


Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Provide a proactive approach to the ownership and responsibility to all areas of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental and report to the Board of Directors on meeting their legal responsibilities regarding the Safety, Health and Environmental obligationsplaced upon the company.
  • Continuous development and implementation of the company's Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental, ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 systems, processes, and procedures ensuring legal compliance.
  • Undertake effective planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of preventive and protective measures.
  • Assessing the risks to employees, customers, subcontractors, environment, and any other people who could be affected by the construction activities.
  • Engage the workforce and supply chain partners to promote a culture of continuous improvement for the health, safety, environmental and the wellbeing of all employees.
  • Provide relevant health, safety, and environmental information to the preconstruction department to assist bid submissions at tender stage.
  • Developing and implementing the company's systems and procedures to assist with the completion of prequalification questionnaires, interviews, and inspections.
  • Work in conjunction with the Construction teams to prepare, maintain and develop Construction Phase Plans and all information contained within including MS/RAs, Site Inductions, Fire & Logistic Plans.
  • Carrying out Inspections and Audits of construction sites on a regular basis and reporting the findings to the Construction Team and the board Directors.
  • Production of monthly management reports on workplace audits, incident reporting and current trends.
  • Coordinate and responsibility for management and reporting, close out of all incidents and near miss occurrences.
  • Provide compliance with all legislative and corporate requirements, industry best practice and HSE guidance.
  • Controlling the SHE training records sourcing or provision of additional SHE training for all staff utilising both external and internal sources.
  • Represent the company to external clients and designers on Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety matters.

Skills and Experience required:


  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Experience of working in the construction sector asa Quality, Environmental. Health and Safety Manager or similar is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of preparing operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong decision making and planning skills.
  • Strong technical awareness of construction operations
