    Description

    Principal Engineer - Power Electronics Systems EngineeringPermanent/Full TimeAbout the RoleOur client is dedicated to powertrain design and development for next generation vehicles.

    We are looking for an experienced power electronics hardwareTechnical Specialist / Lead Engineer to join us to lead our work in this area.


    • Strong numeracy and literacy
    • Five to ten years' experience is required and preferably some of this will be in automotive.
    • Good logical reasoning
    • Deep experience of Power Electronics ideally including Automotive Inverters
    • Knowledge of power electronic devices and how they are integrated into the HV electricalsystem.
    • ISO26262)
    • Experience of specification, development and test of power electronic device such asinverters
    • Experience of working with teams of engineers designing and testing power electronics
    • Evidence of achieving results through effective work against objectives
    • Good communication skillsDuties & Responsibilities
    • Lead the capture of requirements and support the development of power electronicshardware and software traction drive and power conversion systems
    • Lead/support the testing of power electronics hardware and software
    • Capturing and analysing requirements from different stakeholders
    • Disseminate requirements to appropriate teams for action
    • Support the development of electrical and electronics architecture for e-drive applicationsincluding HV harness and connectors schematics
    • Prepare/develop test plans and methods
    • Provide expertise for investigations and problem-solving activities
    • Lead the System DFMEA and support functional safety analysis
    • Ensure compliance with relevant EMC/EMI standards
