About Us:

In Kensington and Chelsea, we launched our Council Plan which sets out our priorities for the next four years.

The plan will be directly shaped by conversations with residents, stakeholders, and council staff, putting community involvement at its core.

Embedding lessons from the Grenfell tragedy and recovering from the pandemic will be central to all we do.

The role of the Leader's Office is critical in addressing these key strategic priorities, as well as ensuring we deliver on wider constitutional duties and serve the diverse communities of our borough.

Working at the heart of the organisation, we provide critical advice and insights to the leadership team, and ensure good governance.

It's high-profile work that has a major impact on decisions made by the Council.

The Role:

As an Executive Support Officer working in the Leader's Office, you will play an important part in the work of the Council and the Leadership Team.

Reporting into the team's 'Operations' function and working on a day-to-day basis alongside the Strategic Advisors, your main responsibility will be to provide administrative and diary support to members of the Leadership Team.

Success in this role requires a high level of enthusiasm and initiative, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, whilst working collaboratively in a small and high-impact team.

Please refer to the
Job Description for more information.

About You:

This is a role where you will be able to learn a great deal about local authority at a high level.

Empathic, enthusiastic and flexible, you'll be driven by a commitment to making a positive difference to residents' lives.

To succeed, you will need experience of working as an executive assistant at senior management level, as well as working within a team collaboratively.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
