    Description
    Volunteer Helper at Baby and Toddler Group

    MustardSeeds Baby and Toddler group has been running since 2017 as a not- for- profitgroup for parents, grandparents and carers to bring their young children toplay and socialise together.

    It meets on Mondays during term time from 9.30amto 11am.

    Weare currently in need of extra help to set up the equipment, assist with thesmooth running of the group and help to pack away afterwards.

    Our helpersarrive at 8.45am and leave at around 11.30am.

    Weuse the main church worship area for the group and this means equipment needsto be carried through from the back cupboards to the front of the building.

    Some of the equipment we use is heavy and so we require fit and healthy peoplewho can lift and carry within the safe lifting guidelines.

    Thisis a very popular group and we currently have an average of 25-30 children eachweek, with their parents and carers.

    Thegroup has free – play for the first hour, then we all pack up the toys beforebreaking for drinks and snacks.

    Aftersnack time the children have a story and song time until 11am. During this timethe helpers continue to put the equipment away.
    Weare a Christian run group, but open to all. The church is an inclusive church,and part of the inclusive network of churches.
    Anyapplicants would need to have a DBS check done by the church and be prepared toprovide references.
    Thereis parking at the church for helpers.
    Volunteerscan be rota'd on a weekly/monthly or ad hoc basis depending on youravailability.

    Thereis no uniform but we suggest suitable clothes for working with children wouldbe clothes you can move around in easily and that you do not mind getting alittle messy.

    Skills
    Ableto lift and carry within safe working guidelines. Ability to work well in ateam.
    DBS check required The Church will get this done.
