    Description


    Our client is a leading manufacturer of plastic parts to prestigious OEMs is looking to recruit a Senior Mouldshop Setter to work in their mouldshop based in Fareham.


    Working closely with the mouldshop management team, you will provide technical leadership for the mouldshop setting teams to deliver a step change improvement in levels of yield, quality, efficiency and productivity necessary to meet customers' expectations and support the Company's strategic objectives.

    Hours will be: 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pmn alternating on a weekly basis

    As Senior Mouldshop Setter, your duties will include:
    Implementing best practise to achieve scrap reduction, improved labour efficiency, machine optimisation, reduced costs and improved quality
    Working with the Production Planner and Team Leaders to ensure that the day-to-day production tool changes are set to fulfil production programs ensuring all setting parameters are within the limits defined on the master set
    Ensuring all master setting data sheets for each part is up to date and optimised to ensure best possible part quality
    Carrying out troubleshooting on any moulding, quality or processing concerns
    Liaising with the Toolroom and Maintenance departments in the correct manner to resolve concerns with tooling and machine related issues

    The ideal candidate will be:

    Be an experienced plastic Injection Moulding Setter or Technician
    Have experience of troubleshooting and resolving process issues
    Have a strong track record of improving processes, reducing scrap and generating cost savings
    Have knowledge of a range of materials
