    Procurement Manager

    Salary: up to £70K Depending On Experience

    Location: North Devon

    Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:
    - Build and nurture a skilled and sustainable team of Procurement Buyer-Planners
    - Provide leadership for the development of individuals across procurement functions through coaching, goal setting, and personal growth initiatives
    - Ensure timely supplier delivery, manage inventory levels, and support quality and cost control to meet profit targets and balanced scorecard requirements
    - Collaborate with commodity management to implement supply strategies and optimize order placement
    - Manage SCM organization effectively as a People Manager
    - Drive cost reduction and delivery improvement projects from inception to completion
    - Oversee ECN and MPS changes impacting direct materials in the supply chain
    - Lead projects aligned with divisional cost, quality, delivery, and sourcing objectives
    - Work on enhancing the current supply base and developing new suppliers
    - Supervise corrective actions and improvement activities with suppliers
    - Maintain ERP data accuracy and oversee purchasing record management
    - Coordinate pull production arrangements with suppliers and maintain necessary supplier parameters in the ERP system
    - Adhere to sourcing processes and operating procedures while supporting new product introduction initiatives
    - Develop and enhance standardized purchasing processes and procedures
    - Establish positive and ethical relationships with suppliers
    - Monitor supplier performance on Quality, Cost, and Delivery metrics
    - Ensure compliance with company Code of Ethics and Conduct
    - Uphold Health & Safety standards to promote a safe work environment

    Requirements for the Procurement Manager role:
    - Master's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
    - Proficiency in materials planning systems and order generation logic
    - CIPS/APICS CPIM certification or willingness to obtain it
    - Solid understanding of SCM operational concepts
    - Experience in procurement management and manufacturing industry preferred
    - Strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
    - Minimum of 5 years in procurement or buying roles
    - Project management experience and results-oriented approach
    - Broad commodity or technical expertise is advantageous
