Description

We are looking for a proactive, people focused individual, who can help bring to life the vast array of opportunities at our airport and excite our local community to visualise a career at Heathrow.

This includes overseeing the delivery of our Heathrow Career and Essential Skills workshops.

The Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy 'the Academy' was set up in 2004 to help local residents fulfil their jobs and career aspirations by helping them to find employment across a diverse range of roles with multiple airport employers (Team Heathrow partners).

The Academy runs a dedicated recruitment service to help Team Heathrow fill vital roles with local talent.

Your role will involve:

Managing the delivery of the Heathrow Careers and Essential Skills Workshops, including the facilitation of the session and revision of workshop materials
Supporting the Learning and Relationship Lead and Education and Skills team to develop workshop materials that are suitable for the skills development of young people in education
Supporting the wider Education, Employment & Skills team during peak busy periods or important activities/events, which do not strictly relate to the key accountabilities listed above.

These skills are essential:

A proactive mindset
Good knowledge of Heathrow airport operation and roles
Ability to travel to various local venues

Ideally, you'll also have:

Facilitation skills and ability to adapt communication style to meet the need of delegates
Airport experience
Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
