The Role

  • Provide and manage Pre-Sales engagements proactively to provide end to end analysis, design and delivery of IT solutions that benefit customers and sales effort within identified response times.
  • Effectively provide support in all aspects of Pre-Sales, including; design, specification, presentations, financial analysis and documentation in liaison with engineers, sales, projects and customers.
  • Create accurate and compelling technical solutions with full specifications and supporting materials for quotations, bids and proposals.
  • Act in a professional manner with regard to management, confidentiality, security, personal attitude and presentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Be prepared to work in a flexible way to assist colleagues in the delivery of services to customers.
  • Document all configurations and information relevant to customers, sites and Group, stored as per Procedures.
  • Personal Development maintain and extend personal expertise in specific areas relevant to the requirements of the role.
  • Uphold and implement Group policies and procedures in all work activities.
  • Provide feedback to the Group on all perceived risks, issues and potential improvements.

Essential skills and experience:


  • AZ104 + AZ30
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Capturing customer requirements and turning these into proposals that will help resolve business problems
  • Developing Private and Public Cloud solutions for a range of customers. This should specifically cover proven experience in architecting solutions in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 with an indepth understanding of industry best practice.
  • Creation of Pre-Sales proposals that cover all aspects of provision of MSP services. (Service onboarding & support, and technical solution architecture) that will meet requirements cost effectively
  • Presenting proposals to customers and able to adapt presentation style to suit the audience.
  • Providing document peer reviews. Focusing on the key elements of a solution to ensure correct functional operation and fulfilment of business requirements.
  • Commercial experience; analysis, design, report writing and presentation.
  • Ability to manage requirements to match or exceed customer and Group expectations.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication on technical solutions in a nontechnical manner.
  • Collaborative, expansive approach.
  • Boundless drive with a keen eye for detail.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Technical accreditations in IT Network / Compute / Storage architectures on premise, hybrid and cloud.
  • Responding to / collaborating on large tender responses covering all aspects of IT provision.
  • Experience gained in an MSP environment, especially in an engineering delivery role.
  • Previous experience in a Pre-Sales role.
  • Understanding / knowledge of Cyber Essentials accreditations.
  • Using Dell solution builder.
  • Using / Interpreting Live Optics.
