About this opportunity:


We are currently looking for a permanent
Store and Logistics Operative to join our growing Resources department at our Stonehouse Office.


As an Store and Logistics Operative, you will Reporting to the Logistics Controller and working closely with the Resources Department to improve all procurement, warehouse and logistics operations for our Stonehouse and Stoke depots.


They will play a significant role in the continual improvement of the materials and operations strategy to ensure that we provide a quick and effective support service to the field teams by managing equipment and materials and conducting or co-ordinating site deliveries.


They will be a motivated self-starter and be expected to work largely unsupervised whilst developing local relationships in order to provide a cost-effective service and facility to the craft teams.

Your responsibilities:


This role will require driving of a Transit sized company vehicle across various locations as required

Stores responsibility

  • Maintain a highly organised, safe and secure stores environment
  • Actively promote a zero accident/incident Health, Safety & Environmental culture
  • Raise purchase orders, receive goods and manage returns (physically & electronically)
  • Stock control
- maintain minimum stock levels

  • Liaise with HSEQ to ensure COSHH items are minimised and controlled

Equipment responsibility

  • Schedule and manage the calibration of all equipment and maintain the calibration register
  • Complete lifting tackle inspections and maintain the lifting tackle register (training provided)
  • Conduct PAT when required (training provided)
  • Source equipment as required
- raise purchase orders


PPE responsibility

  • Facilitate a positive onboarding process for all new starters
  • Monitor the new starters notifications to ascertain requirements
  • Ensure all site attending persons can quickly access the PPE required
  • Conduct facefit testing as required (training provided)

Assist with:


  • Fleet management, maintenance and allocation
  • Waste Management (reuse, recycling, recovery, disposal) within the Stores and offices as required
  • Basic office maintenance

About you

  • Selfstarter with a proactive can and will do attitude
  • Ability to work well in a multifunctional team
  • Physically able and medically fit enough to carry out frequent manual handling duties and visit construction sites
  • Good people skills, well mannered, and considerate towards employees and the general public
  • Attention to detail and an eye for opportunity / possible system, procedural improvement
  • Manual driving licence and confidence in driving a Transit size vehicle
