Due to the ongoing growth of the firm, we're looking for Trainee Solicitors undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations ( SQE ) route to qualification to join our team.
This intake will include full-time roles in the following practice areas:Successful candidates must be available to commence full-time work in our Manchester office in July 2024.
You will receive comprehensive formal and on-the-job training focused on technical legal knowledge, matter management, client service and meeting professional obligations, to give you a strong understanding of the legal needs of our commercial clients, and to meet the requirements of your Qualifying Work Experience ( QWE ).
Under the supervision of our Practice Leaders and Senior Associates, a typical day may include (among other things, and depending on your practice area):Providing oral and written advice to clients on a broad range of legal matters (including as part of our industry-leading Legal Advice Consultation service).
Corporate & Commercial:
Drafting, reviewing and advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including website terms and conditions, privacy policies, supply agreements, and SaaS agreements, as well as business structuring, incorporating companies, shareholder agreements, articles of association and employee share option schemes.
Drafting and advising on a broad range of employment and health and safety law matters, including employment contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks, and health and safety policies, as well as assisting with contentious employment matters, including pre-tribunal advice and tribunal claims.
Advising on all aspects of commercial leasing and franchising law, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases, subleases, and assignments, and preparing franchising agreements, assisting and advising clients with initial franchise structuring and set-ups, and advising clients on the management of their franchise network.
Conducting legal research.Wants to do things differently and isn't the average trainee: 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) plus contractual sick pay.
