We are looking for a Teacher in Maths to teach low level maths to adults who need to improve their confidence with maths.

Here's the standard bit:

You'll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles; taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and relatedcurriculum development that meet learner needs, whilst assessing learners progress in college or at community delivery sites and devise assessment processes against progress targets.


What you'll need:

  • Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2 and experience of teaching Maths to adult learners both accredited and non-accredited courses in the community.


The ability to devise and deliver learning opportunities to meet group and individual needs and demonstrate experience of teaching using a range of teaching and learning methods that engenders an enthusiasm for learning in a variety of settings in collegeand at community locations is essential.


Level 4 Teaching Qualification:

Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.

Subject specialism level 5 in maths and numeracy is desirable.
