    £32,000 - £38,000 (DOE) + 18% Shift Allowance – total Salary £37,760 - £44,840

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's operations team in Wolverhampton.

    Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of products made for aerospace, automotive, construction, and a range of other markets.

    Their manufacturing and distribution site in Wolverhampton plays a pivotal part in their success.

    The Shift Maintenance Engineer will work a three-shift pattern, Monday – Friday.

    They will be responsible for proficiently servicing all process and auxiliary equipment with a focus on reducing downtime and enhancing cost efficiency.


    Responsibilities:


    The principal responsibilities of this role are to support the operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs; leading preventative maintenance activity, and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, business objectives, and productivity targets are maintained.

    The role can be an interesting and challenging one, with two days never the same.

    Additional responsibilities will also include, but are not limited, to the following:


    • Reporting and recording of maintenance and repair details for all work activities, using the appropriate maintenance management and IT systems
    • To support the department in the development and implementation of processes which comply with the health & safety management system.
    • Utilising the planned maintenance system (Pirana); raising emerging work orders detailing nonconformities observed and proposed corrective actions necessary to resolve issues.
    • Support the engineering team to determine root cause and measures appropriate to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Ensuring clear and concise records are maintained in order trends can be determined and corrective actions identified.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship.
    • You will need to demonstrate a sound electrical background and proven track record. The successful candidate will operate as part of a small team and should be fully conversant with current health & safety regulations.
    • Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment. The ability to adapt to new equipment is essential for this role. You must be flexible with a desire to learn and develop
