- Reviewing and advising on a broad range of transactions, documentation and related legal issues and matters arising from the Bank's Commodities businesses as and when required. This will include the preparation and/or review of sale and purchase documentation. commodity storage and warehousing agreements and commodity leases.
- Reviewing and advising on a wide range of secured and unsecured structured loan facilities (including bilateral, club, syndicated, margin and NAV loans). This will include the preparation and/or review of confidentiality agreements, commitment and mandate letters, term sheets, facility agreements, security and inter-creditor agreements, assignments, participation agreements and legal opinions.
- Reviewing and advising on a broad range of other types of legal documentation and related legal issues as and when required.
- Legally qualified (English or other common law qualified preferred)
- Experience working for a Private Practice Law Firm and/or in-house in another investment bank and/or in the legal department of a commodities trading house
- Language skills an advantage, Mandarin in particular
- Understanding of legal issues relevant to emerging markets
- Business knowledge
- Understanding of FCA rules and regulations or equivalent

Summary
The Legal Department provides legal advisory and transactional support to all divisions and offices of ICBCS. The Bank's lawyers provide support to all of the Bank's business divisions, in particular the Global Markets trading floor.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a lawyer to work on a wide range of transactions and matters arising from the Bank's Commodities and Finance Businesses. Whilst this is a generalist role, the candidate must have previous experience working on physical commodities transactions and some experience working on loan documentation would be desirable. The role is based in the London office on the ICBCS trading floor.
