    Description

    Our client is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Derby office. This is an exciting role that has a number of new high-profile projects that need an extra pair of hands If you are looking for a change of environment or looking for a promotion, then this role may be for you.

    This role would be suited to an Engineer who is looking for progression and development within a trusted consultancy. This consultancy has a good reputation for treating employees well and offering some amazing benefits and a competitive salary.

    The role:

    • Providing high quality concept, preliminary and detailed technical design on projects requiring highway and drainage design.
    • Carrying out a range of drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, soakaway sizing, foul loads, pipeline capacities and network analysis for a range of drainage applications.
    • Carrying out a range of adoptable and non-adoptable highway, driveway carparking and footpath structural pavement designs for a range of permeable and non-permeable surfaces.
    • Preparing Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency product requests and LLFA information requests, relating to drainage designs, flood risk assessments and drainage strategies.
    • Preparing S104, S106 and S185 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Drainage Authority and Planning Authority.
    • Preparing S184, S278 and S38 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Highway Authority.
    • Report writing, e.g. Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategy Reports, etc.
    • Managing projects
    • Ensuring that projects are undertaken to the specified budget and timeframes
