    Description

    Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor at Murphy & Sons Limited

    • Murphy & Sons Limited (Murphy) is a renowned international engineering and construction company that aims to enhance life through top-notch infrastructure projects.
    • Specialists in delivering pipelines, design, structural steel, tunnelling, fabrication, bridges, and piling.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Aid, support, and advise on commercial issues in Power, Transmission & Distribution projects.
    • Lead a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors & Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
    • Implement and manage commercial strategies for projects and tenders.
    • Maximize cash position and ensure optimal performance of the commercial team.
    • Review contractual obligations, commercial risks, and project costs regularly.

    Requirements:

    • Significant experience in a commercial role in the Civil Engineering / Construction Industry.
    • Proficient in Standard Forms of Contract (NEC) and Standard Methods of Measurement.
    • Understanding of programming techniques and project controls.
