    Description

    Role: Research Software Engineer

    Salary: circa. £50-65k (DOE) + benefits

    Location: London (2/3 days per week)

    We're looking for a Research Software Engineer working for one of the worlds most prestigious universities as part of a multi-disciplinary research team which is working in the development of a microsimulation model of the future health and economic impacts of health policies.

    Experience needed:

    • Experience of current & recent C++ releases in order to help to implement the existing code base of the model
    • Exposure to building micro-simulation models
    • STEM related degree (ideally a Masters or PhD - nice to have)

    Some of the main responsibilities that you would have include:

    • Leading the adaptation of microsimulation model enabling the tool to be calibrated and to take inputs from individual pilot project sites
    • Supporting the design of pilot project assessments.
    • Carrying out simulations to estimate the long term health and economic outcomes of selected pilot projects.
    • Supporting the development of final reports for pilot projects.

    While ideally you would work from the office a couple of days per week, the role can offer an element of flexibility for the right candidate and our client is happy to accommodate individual needs.
