    Description
    Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

    The Principal Electrical Engineer will execute electrical engineering for various project ranging from Concept studies through to detail design engineering for electrical power systems for onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities.

    Complete engineering designs, calculations, specification and requisition of equipment, whilst ensuring designs comply with inherently safe design concepts.
    Contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through:

    Uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems. Completes almost any engineering tasks with minimal guidance and direction. May serve as the primary discipline engineer or discipline technical authority on projects with small to medium complexity.
    Direct and guide designers to produce and issue engineering deliverables in both 2D and 3D formats
    Carryout Originating and Checking of engineering and design documentation in line with procedures
    Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
    Ensuring learning opportunities are captured and realised
    Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation
    HNC / HND in engineering or equivalent with relevant considerable experience

    Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
