Main Purpose of Job:


To perform purchasing and inventory control for the company, primarily for the Art Glass department but fulfilling any requirements/support from other company locations.

The Co-ordinator must identify the products that are to be purchased, the most appropriate supplier for the products, confirm all aspects of pricing, confirm all deliveries, and maintain an inventory control database.


Key Tasks:


  • Work with all departmental managers to determine purchasing needs and requirements for warehouse, production, and office products.
  • Identify the most appropriate supplier for the designated product, determine availability, perform comparative pricing, and negotiate pricing, confirm quality of products and establish delivery requirements/timelines.
  • Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders, delivery confirmation, invoice authorisation and updating of stock management system.
  • Input and maintain online database of all products, maintain daily inventory checks and updates.
  • Identify and resolve all issues relating to product quality, pricing, delivery, utilisation, and loss.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts and month end reconciliations; research any variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments.
  • Update Art Glass Manager on any new products that may be more efficient or cost effective, obsolete products and product trends.

Warehouse

  • Working with the Foreman on goodsin accuracy
  • Communication with warehouse team on delivery schedules
  • Observing and adhering to PPE requirements and all elements of safety

Additional Requirements:


  • Direct support to the Art Glass Manager
  • Occasional cover for the Customer Support team during absences or busy periods.
  • Overflow cover to telephone calls from customers and dealing with enquiries efficiently.
  • Occasional support to walk in customers with products/purchases.

Requirements:


  • Experience in purchasing and inventory control
  • Experience and proficient in data management, analysing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends and solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium
  • Excellent IT skills and willingness to 'muck in' with a small team

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
