AQA, the UK's leading exam board, is looking for a Head of Product - Portfolio to drive our product strategy and support the maintenance and development of qualifications across GCSEs and A-levels.
Purpose
As Head of Product Portfolio (At AQA, we define product as the qualification and anything that directly supports it) you are accountable for leading a team of dedicated team of product managers experts and the strategic management and development of AQA's product offering, crucial in ensuring AQA maintains and expands its market share in this a variety of subjects.
Landscape
At AQA, we're focused on understanding our customers better than anyone else and delivering the support they need, including exciting new products. Because of this, we're investing in several additional roles in two of our Customer and Product Directorate teams - Product Management and Subject Support. You will have significant impact in developing and executing strategies for defined growth and retention. Your portfolio of Products will focus on products across a wide range of diverse subjects, working closely with our Subject Support team.
What you'll do
You will be the representative, both internally and externally, for our a portfolio of products to our customers, acting as a focal point for the development and delivery of product roadmaps, identifying key areas of focus in the product life cycle and maximising profitability through customer centricity, strategic planning and oversight. Overseeing the translation of business strategies into coherent, aligned, tactical plans.
You will lead the delivery and maintenance of AQA's Portfolio Product Strategy, developing and synthesising customer data to create new insights into our customers' needs and inform how AQA can gain competitive advantage, driving focus on product management in the organisation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
You pride yourself on your excellent leadership, influencing and people skills whilst creating highly effective networks at all levels across the organisation and more widely, working collaboratively to ensure delivery of strategic objectives.
