Tempting Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a

local authority in

South London, to recruit an experienced

Senior Commissioning Officer. If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,

Contract: 3-6 months (Possible Extension)

Salary:
£270 a day (Umbrella)

Start Date:
February 2023

Shift Pattern: 36 hours / Full-time (09:00am - 17:00pm)

DUTIES

To develop strategic priorities and lead the work on the design and commissioning of services for children, adults and families.
To be responsible for the delivery of complex project plans, monitoring and managing progress.
To lead on specific commissioning projects that help shape and influence the provider market.
To research, collect, collate and analyse information about the local market in order to identify changes or developments in service provision.
To represent departmental commissioning at cross agency strategy, planning and development meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
At least 2 years previous experience within a Commissioning role or equivalent.
Detailed knowledge of current relevant legislation, statutory duties, responsibilities, and best practice in commissioning adult social care and children's services.
A recognised management qualification or evidence of continued management development at a senior level.
Substantial successful experience of commissioning services for children, adults and families.
