This role is responsible for understanding the customer's technical challenges and providing solutions in conjunction with the Heads of the 4 main functions (Sales, On-Shore, Off-Shore & Operations) and the 4 Product Lines/PCCs (IST, DR, SGT and AGT); define, develop and programme managed solutions to customer's technical problems.


How You'll Make an Impact*:


The Head of Technical Support will have accountability for technical support for GS UK&IE customer units across 4 product lines.

Ability to communicate on complex technical issues with clarity and precision both internally and externally.

  • Manage a team of up to 13 technical specialists.
  • Responsible for support strategy for UK&IE Customers.
  • Responsible for integrated support solutions for multiple product lines.
  • Responsible for technical repair process
  • Responsible for technical support for service of nonSiemens (3rd Party) products

What You Bring*:


  • Proven people management ability and sound commercial and financial awareness skills
  • Planning, delivery and technical problem solving abilities
  • International work experience beneficial, culturally aware
  • Product knowledge
  • Knowledge of engineering
  • Operations/ delivery management
  • Knowledge of a broad range of business functions and practices and able to work across the business functions to deliver solutions (e.g. Working across the Regional teams, PCCs, FSR communities, multipleengineering teams, OSDs and Procurement departments among others)
  • Willing to frequently travel to Aberdeen offices
