Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Head of Retail will work to shape the vision for how REFY shows up globally in our hand-picked retail partners.

We are looking for someone ideally from a retail marketing background who can confidently shape our retail strategy and in turn deliver world class retail results.

A natural storyteller who has a track record of brand building through retail.- The role will require guardianship around the right retail partner and their purpose.

We need someone who can ensure our retail vision perfectly aligns with the business's overall strategic goals.

  • A competent project manager is needed for this role to work across key departments at REFY including commercial, brand marketing, digital marketing, finance & product development. We're looking for you to really own a robust retail related critical path and are always looking to streamline the process to deliver all touch points on time for retailers and the REFY team.
  • We need someone who can think creatively around purpose driven retail marketing whilst ensuring this is underpinned with commercial acumen at all times.
  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who can inspire and show great leadership capability. Someone who is commercially savvy and loves numbers and can own the P & L by retailer, managing all retailer commercials, margins etc.
  • This role will work closely with our Head of Brand Creative and Global Head of Product Development in developing our retail identity and retail product strategy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


RETAIL

  • Develop and own strategic plans by retailer looking at category of retailer, long term growth opportunities and product strategy whilst always challenging the status quo.
  • Work positively cross functionally across REFY to execute the overall brand and customer experience in retail stores, ensuring world class visual merchandising and excellent standards are upheld at all times.
  • Nurture and retain meaningful relationships across our full retail portfolio and really own these relationships, being the main point of contact for each individual retailer and their internal teams (PR, Marketing, Buying, Merchandising, Finance etc).
  • Acting as a brand guardian within the retail environment, continually looking for the right opportunities for REFY that aligns with and supports our brand first goal.
  • Ownership of our retail fixtures process working with our creative team to deliver a high impact, purposeful retail experience through innovative installations and seasonal updates.
  • End to end project management of all retail related activations including new retailer launches, fixture refreshes, in store marketing activities etc, communicating clearly to the wider business. and external stakeholders around timelines/expectations and troubleshooting as challenges arise.
  • Take ownerships of individual retailer forecasting and stock planning, working closely with REFY commercial and account management teams to develop an accurate long range view by product & retailer.
  • Ownership by retailer of hitting financial goals set and managing the journey of achieving this, ensuring balancing brand expectations with being profit focused at all times.

MARKETING

  • Building marketing plans across digital and brand channels for individual retailers this will require cross functional collaboration internally and external stakeholder management and project management

TEAM

  • Responsibility for line management of Area Retail team and National Account Management team, driving delivery, setting goals, KPIs and mentoring the team to achieve results
  • Continually drive change and challenge thought processes across retail, sharing retail insights with the wider business to support our growth agenda

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


  • The Head of Retail will be an inspirational leader who has 'done it' before and is comfortable using a rolledup sleeves approach as the best approach. No task is too big or small, inspiring the team to believe and want to follow while always having their voice in the conversation.
  • Extensive & relevant experience in the beauty sector with several years as a Head of Retail or Retail Director
  • Experienced manager who has proven experience in leading retail teams with a flair for mentoring and individual development
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a great listener, ability to lead crossfunctionally, and build relationships internally and externally
  • Strategic thinker and proven fast paced results deliverer always sees the opportunity
  • Innovative thinker, always leads doesn't follow the trend
  • Customer focused, can take strategy and translate it to region or retailer
  • You must be able to leave the ego at the door and be comfortable in the uncomfortableness of not knowing what might be next in a fastmoving business
