Join our bustling Bromley office, situated in one of London's greenest boroughs.The team provides quantitative capabilities supporting global risk and capital and develops a consistent set of risk and capital models and tools that drive the company's technology infrastructure.
This position sits within the Global Markets Risk Analytics team.This team is responsible for risk and capital models used across Global Markets, both for risk needs and for advanced approaches regulatory capital calculation.
The team includes separate development groups focused on Market Risk, Counterparty Risk and Margin modelling.
This opportunity is to lead model development for the Incremental Risk Charge, Comprehensive Risk Measure, and Incremental Default Risk models.
These models are used to measure different aspects of credit default and transition risk for the Global Markets portfolio and contribute to advanced approaches regulatory capital requirements as well as forward capital planning and stress testing.
In-depth analysis and development of the bank's IRC, CRM and IDR models, using quantitative tools to understand model behaviour and identifying, supervising and executing improvements to the model framework.
Engaging closely with all model stakeholders including model development, model risk, senior stakeholders and our regulators to understand their expectations and plan delivery of improvements that meet their requirements.
Post-graduate qualification, preferably to PhD level, in quantitative finance or a quantitative field
Solid working experience in a model development role, preferably with significant experience of credit modelling.
Experience in data analysis, with excellent research skills
Programming skills Python, C++; a solid understanding of sound software development
