Finance Position Description:
Finance AnalystThis is a broad, engaging role as Finance Analyst for our Clients' Dagenham Engine Plant Manufacturing Finance.
Responsibilities cover cost control, including Overtime, Scrap, Maintenance and Tooling spend, projects coordination (including spending forecasts) and annual fixed assets verification.
Additionally, month end journals, purchase requisition and work order approvals.This role works at all levels from hourly staff to senior management.
This role reports into the Controller of DEP.
Responsibilities include:
Lead for month end journals for DEP Purchase requisition approvals Lead for invoicing and revenue tracking for external customersWeekly collating of Overtime requests and comparison against actualsFixed Asset management including lead for annual Fixed Asset Verification processRaising Intercompany Billing Approvals and associated billings for asset transfersInvestment spending forecasting (monthly forecast, budget and business plan)
Skills Required:
Effective communication skills across all levels (hourly staff to senior management)Confidence to challenge assumptions and the status quoConcise/clear presentation of data key insights and related recommendationsAbility to work independently and be a self-starter.
Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines with minimal supervision.Proficient user of Excel Skills Preferred:
Automation using Macros / Power Automate / Alteryx /
Qlik Sense Experience Required:
Experience of working in a Finance role
Experience Preferred:
Working with large datasets Working in a Manufacturing environment
Education Required:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent)
Additional Information :
Hybrid - 3 days on siteFlexibility required at peak times.
