Job Summary
We are thrilled to announce a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist position to lead the clinical team at the Inpatient Wotton Lawn Hospital in Gloucester. This role became available as a result of a Consultant Psychiatrist transitioning to a new position within the organization.
Wotton Lawn Hospital in Gloucester features 66 acute beds and a 10-bed intensive care unit. Dean Ward, a 15-bed all-female ward, serves patients from the Gloucester community with admissions facilitated by the Gloucester Crisis team.
Main Duties of the Job
You will offer senior clinical guidance to Dean Ward, collaborating with medical colleagues, the multidisciplinary team, and the patients' support network. Responsibilities will entail direct patient interaction, as well as consultation and supervision of others.
You will act as the Responsible Clinician for your inpatients and will be accountable for carrying out RC duties as per the Code of Practice. A significant aspect of the role involves presenting written and verbal testimony at Mental Health Act Managers' Meetings and Review Tribunals.
