    Description
    An opportunity to be part of the core team, delivering various projects as part of a large Framework across the South West region

    This Design Manager role will be pivotal in the immobilisation of this new Framework and will be a key member of the senior project team responsible for the design function and team (both internally and externally) on live schemes.

    Projects will be varied and will include working on contracts principally across the non-infra water sector, with approx. £Managing and co-ordinating the design of a range of projects of varying complexity and value from tender stage through to the completion of construction stage design information
    Ensure an effective construction phase by applying an understanding of site management practices, interface management, risks, costs and co-ordination
    manage expectations of the project through regular communication
    Chair and minute design team meetings and design workshops to arrive at solutions which are cost effective

    Manage the design relationship for the whole project team - with the client, subcontractors and professional team resolve any queries.

    Produce, monitor, and drive production through appropriate use of KPIs for the design process There is a lot more to this role and in order for us to speak to the relevant people, we ask before applying, you have the following:

    At lease 3 years in a design role for a civil engineering contractor
    Well-developed Technical Construction knowledge - ideally within the water sector, although we are open to those outside
