We have an opportunity within the RFP team for an RFP (Request for Proposals) Writer Apprentice to join our established team in London.

The Apprentice will support the production of Business Development documents utilised by our Sales channels to help promote the distribution of the Firm's Fixed Income Fund range, both to current and prospective investors.
The role will involve working on Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for large scale Wholesale & Institutional opportunities as well as helping maintaining the Firm's Consultant databases. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to Firm's core flagship products, and develop writing, interpersonal and project management skills, whilst working alongside a talented and supportive team.

By joining the RFP team an Apprentice will develop a strong understanding of how the Firm functions as a business and will benefit from working closely with several different stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Help to d elivery high-quality proposal documents. RFPs RFIs and DDQs on M&G funds across the Wholesale and Institutional businesses.
  
• Liaise with investment specialists, sales directors, content writers, compliance, performance and risk departments etc. and a variety of other sources within M&G to ensure responses are optimal and tailored appropriately.
  
• Project work on Consultant databases to support the marketing of the firm's product range.
  
• Participate in wider team projects involving the content database ( RocketDocs ) as well as ad-hoc projects to build the team's profile around the business.
  
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance current processes .
  

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• E agerness to learn about Investments .
  
• Good organisational and time management skills needed to manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously , whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  
• Good creative writing skills and grammar ; Ability to write in a clear, concise manner.
  
• Confident liaising with stakeholders of varying seniority and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements.
  
• Good working understanding of the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) .
  
• Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines .
  
• Ability to demonstrate initiative to improve RFP processes and content .
  

We are looking for an individual with good written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a can-do, inquisitive and enthusiastic approach to M&G's business.

Qualification Required:

A minimum of five GCSEs grade 9 - 4 on the new grading system.

As a RFP Writer Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Level 3 Bid and Proposal Co-Ordinator Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses

This is a fixed term contract for 15 months upon which the business may decide to retain , subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.

Salary: £26,000
