- Technical Development & Data Modelling: Work with a dynamic engineering team to create, maintain, and improve our Analytics Platform. Specialize in crafting robust data models using SQL and the data build tool (dbt).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Interact with stakeholders to understand and translate complex data model requirements into scalable technical solutions. Focus on tailoring data structures and analysis capabilities to meet the specific needs of our retail and finance business.
- Process Optimization: Utilize your SQL skills to optimize data flows and processing, enhancing performance and reliability. Use your expertise with the data build tool (dbt) to streamline and automate data transformation processes.
- CICD & Quality Assurance: Advocate for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) practices to minimize deployment risks and ensure high data quality.
- Experience with Cloud products like Cloud SQL, BigQuery, RedShift, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in open-source data-stack tools such as DBT, Airflow, Airbyte, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of Teradata, Mainframe, and/or Google Analytics is advantageous.
- Knowledge of data governance, management, analytics, science, and visualization workflows.
- Awareness of modern cloud data stack, headless BI, analytics engineering, data meshes, and lake-houses.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to business stakeholders and grasp their requirements.
