Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
The role would be suitable for mechanically and electrical biased engineers from any type of maintenance/service background specifically general automotive technicians, HGV, mobile plant or forklift.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main purpose of the role will be to offer an excellent standard of service to customers and assist colleagues as required.
Service and maintenance of electric, diesel and LPG material handling equipment.
Fault finding, planned preventive maintenance and pre-delivery inspection of fork trucks.
Maintain and seek new opportunities to extend level of service provided to customers.
Ensure electronic paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and parts required to complete job are ordered in a timely manner.
Tools and equipment are kept in good working order and repairs carried out when required.Ensure company vehicle is maintained to a high standard and van stock levels are replenished as required.
Personal presentation and communication standards are excellent at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Mechanical / electrical / hydraulics engineering experience from an automotive background (plant/agricultural/commercial).
Hands on electrical and mechanical experience.
Clean current driving licence.
Good health and safety working practices.
Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Excellent oral and written abilities.
I.T. Literate.
Desirable:
Working knowledge of computer diagnostics.
Experience in the repair of forklift trucks (Diesel/gas/Electric).
Experience in fabrication and welding.
NVQ Level 3 (Electrical or vehicle maintenance)
