Here at Serco we're looking for Business Support Officer to join us at Peterborough County Council. Serco Business Support specialises in administration and supports services areas across Peterborough City Council Local authority.

As Business Support Officer you will be providing business support assistance to Our Targeted Youth Service ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the service.

The Targeted Youth Support Service (TYSS) is a new and innovative service focused on offering a range of specialist services to young people aged 13-18 and their families.

Targeted Youth Support works collaboratively with internal and external partners to provide seamless and layered support to the most vulnerable young people in the City.

We work with young people in the criminal justice system, those assessed as being a Child in Need, at risk of exploitation, substance misuse or violence, exclusion, homelessness and many other areas of need.

The role is full time and there is a mixture of home and office-based working.

You will be using your skills to write reports and manage the Peterborough City Council Local authority systems, there will also be a need for you to do some customer facing reception work.


What you will need to do the role:

You will need to be passionate about making a difference to young peoples lives and be able to show compassion and empathy.

You will have previously working as a Business Support Officer or a minimum of 5 years working in an Administration role.

To be successful in the role you will need to have strong Keyboard skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word; with the ability to learn to use systems.
