We are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Manager for a 3-month fixed-term contract to join our client based in London, UK.
As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, analysing data, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and variance analysis.
Recommend adjustments as needed to achieve financial goals.
Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
Prepare monthly management accounts, including cost allocations, accruals, and prepayments.
Analyze variances against the budget and provide explanations.
Manage the PO process, from creation to approval and reconciliation.
Work closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure efficient purchasing practices.
Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
Optimize working capital by monitoring receivables, payables, and inventory levels.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures.
Evaluate operational processes to improve efficiency.
Work closely with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies.
Provide financial insights for new product launches, expansions, and acquisitions.
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications
IMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified:
You must hold a CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
Familiarity with retail or beauty industry dynamics is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Excel, financial software (e.g., Xero), and other relevant tools.
