We help businesses manage all areas of their operations from parts and service, through to sales and finance, with innovative solutions to achieve their business objectives.
Job Overview
As a member of the installation and configuration team you will be responsible for installing, configuring and upgrading the baseline for users of our software products across the UK and Republic of Ireland. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing and troubleshooting issues related to hardware, operating systems and the software application. The software applications supplied by our operating companies consist of data held on Linux or Microsoft Windows servers, accessed from client PC's and Remote Desktop Services connections. Onsite work can result in overnight stays being necessary.
You will be required to provide instruction to customers on procedures for system management and backups, whilst ensuring a clean handover of the system to either an application consultant colleague, or directly to the customer.
When not performing installation duties you will be based at the Catalyst offices, preparing systems for both installation and direct shipping to customer sites, supporting customers remotely or visiting customers to carry out emergency maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Liaise with customers, travel to customer site and install equipment
• Act professionally at all times and communicate in a manner which promotes the company, its products and services
• Provide advice and training to customers where necessary
• Working outside of core business hours to minimise disruption to the customer
• Become involved in ad-hoc tasks as required.

• Linux operating systems, Server virtualisation and Cloud hosting environments

Has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical role resolving issues with and installing servers alongside the build and configuration of Windows Servers and PC's, peripheral devices and network systems. Any experience of Linux and legacy technologies along with Online/Offline Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory is also desirable.
You will be able to work under pressure and have a logical, pro-active, and analytical approach to you work.
You will be self-motivated with effective communication skills, attention to detail and good time management.
You are able to work as part of a team or independently and be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
You will have excellent organisational skills.
