TheOpportunity:

As the SeniorOffshore Geophysicist you will have overall responsibility for thedata acquisition quality control interpretation and production ofoffshore deliverables onboard our dedicated geophysical surveyvessels. You will work closely with the offshore team supervisingother geophysicists when required and reporting directly to theParty Chief offshore and Lead geophysicistonshore.

MainResponsibilities

• Responsiblefor data management quality control and production of deliverablesin the field.
• Alongside the offshore teamensure data is collected according to contractual and companyspecifications.
• Maintain accurate QC andinterpretation logs.
• Conduct infield equipmentcalibrations and verifications relating to the SSS SBP 2D UHR andmagnetometer data.
• Produce field and operationsreports.
• Produce infield interpretations of thedata highlighting preliminary geohazards observed to onboardclients.
• Integrate 3rd party datasets with thegeophysical data interpretations such as environmental orgeotechnical.
• Provide a final line of QC forproject work scopes and lineplans at projectkickoff.
• Provide technical input into thedevelopment of machine learning tools for data processing andinterpretations.
• Manage time and resourcesrequired to meet offshore reporting requirements for eachproject.
• Work with the data processing teams tomeet offshore deliverable timelines and datarequirements.
• Support the onshoreinterpretation and reporting team wherenecessary.

Youshould apply if youhave:

Essential:

• Survey/hydrographic/oceanscience/data related degree.
• Extensive offshoreexperience in a similar or equivalentrole.
• Valid Offshore Medical andSurvival.
