- Leadthe offshore survey team.
- Act as survey partychief onboard our vessels.
- Provide technicalexcellence for everything survey onboard thevessel.
- Provide guidance on best industrypractice.
- Preparation installation andcalibration of survey equipment during mobilisations anddemobilisations.
- Ensure acquisition logs aremaintained and reporting templates and other appropriatedocumentation are utilised.
- Ensure qualitycontrol and assurance is performed on all survey dataacquired.
- Be the main survey contact for theclient onboard.
- Assist projects to be completedin a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist withline planning and other projectpreparations.
- Work closely with the ProjectSurveyor on project deliverables.
- Assist SurveyManager in maintaining up to date departmentaldocumentation.
- Prepare mobilisation reportsfield memos and field reports as required.
- Leadby example with respect to HSE.
- Taking part inrisk assessments and hazardidentifications.
- Hold toolbox talks whenappropriate.
- Ensure data acquired is backed upand returned to theoffice.
- Asolid understanding of Survey principles and Marine Surveytechniques
- Experience ofHydrographic/Geophysical survey mobilisation and dataacquisition
- Experience of ROV surveymobilisation data acquisition andinspection
- Technical understanding andknowledge of survey equipment and softwareused
- Knowledge of survey dataprocessing
- Experienced in USBLcalibrations
- Advanced experience in MBES INSUSBL GNSS equipment
- Understanding of UXO targetID Inspection pipeline cable DOB and sitesurveys
- Practiced in writing detailed reportsfor survey activities

- B.Sc./HND inSurveying or equivalent

TheOpportunity:
You will haveexperience as a Senior Surveyor or Party Chief and be passionateabout delivering high quality survey data.
As the partychief you are Rovcos senior onboard survey representative and willlead and have overall responsibility for the mobilisation dataacquisition Offshore Data Processing and demobilisation of thevessel and survey suite. You are an integral part of the SurveyDepartment and project teams and will contribute subject matterexpertise by providing advanced survey knowledge with an emphasison delivery excellence. In this role you will ensure projectdeliverables of survey data are in line with client surveyrequirements by reviewing the project procedures and methodstatements and working closely with the wider project operationsteam. You will also work closely with the Onshore Survey ReportsCoordinator Geophysicist and Data ProcessingTeams.
Communication and understanding client requirementsare a key aspect of this role supporting the project with internaland external stakeholders.
You may also be asked toprovide technical input to tenders.
Rovco are looking forsurveyors with a background in Hydrographic Site Surveying and/orOffshore ROV Construction Survey.
