We are now looking to recruit a full time Production Supervisor, salary is negotiable based on experience.

The role will be based at Wallasey and will plan, organise and control all resources in the section to achieve agreed production schedules in accordance with health, safety and quality and environmental legislation whilst taking a lead role to increase throughput, productivity and reduce operating costs.

Key Accountabilities

Daily production meetings.
Monitors the standards of performance within the team to ensure quality and OTIF (On Time in Full) is achieved.
Updates the backlog on daily basis.
Contribute to the development of a 'behavioral safety' culture through ensuring employees report/record all accidents and near misses, actively taking part in hazard spotting, SMART discussions and other safety initiatives.
Participates in thorough investigations for any near miss or accidents which occur within the department and make suggestions for corrective actions.
Regularly participate in SMART Safety audits.
Monitors and updates the SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)/ training sessions and Risk Assessments.
Continuous improvement is an ongoing concern thought Quick Kaizen Projects.
Lead daily control meetings within the department to communicate daily plans and issues.
An active member of all WCM (World Class Manufacturing) projects within department.
Ensure department work to and performs monthly 5S audits.
Participate in problem solving activities, assist in analysis and resolution problems, define and determine appropriate actions.
When required aid managers in conducting performance reviews for area of your team who require improvement, considering training.
Works handin hand with other departments manning and quality concerns, participate in problem solving activates assists in analysing and resolving issues, define and determine appropriate actions.

Skills

Good planning and organisational skills required to run and monitor the production process.
Ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipmentrelated problems.
Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients.
Able to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines.
Work in a logical, systematic manner.
Working knowledge of safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a oneonone basis as well as a group.

Qualifications and Experience Levels

Ideally educated to BTEC or equivalent NVQ level qualification in a relevant manufacturing / engineering discipline.
Demonstrable experience of supervising people in a manufacturing / engineering function with a proven track record in delivering effective and proactive production supervision.
Ideally experienced in Lean manufacturing with an ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
Proven product and industry knowledge.
Experience of working and influencing at an operational level.
Knowledge and technical understanding of manufacturing processes, components and techniques.
