As a Host


You will be the face of Rockwater and will be responsible for ensuring that every guests receives a warm and friendly welcome and that their first impression of Rockwater is outstanding.

Responsibility Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and genuine welcome to every guest that enters Rockwater
  • Confirm any reservation details and escort each guest to the appropriate area of Rockwater depending on the purpose of their visit.
  • Interact with guests and display good product and company knowledge including the various menus available throughout Rockwater, any upcoming events, and our Openwater subscription.
  • Gather and pass on all guest details to the relevant waitstaff or manager regarding any requirements or preferences.
  • Ensure the entrance area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Deal with guest reservations accordingly, ensuring that covers are distributed evenly between sections and that capacity is maximized
  • Ensure that our members tables are available at all times should they be needed.
  • Be aware of who our Rockwater members, regulars, and VIPs are and greet them accordingly.
  • Ensure that all covers are input onto Seven Rooms correctly
  • To write and hand out celebration cards for birthdays / anniversaries / graduations etc as per the reservation tags on the bookings.
  • Compliance with legal requirements under the Health & Safety Act 1974 and food hygiene.
  • To always be presentable and to represent the Rockwater brand to the highest standard.
  • Ensure to follow up any guidance or instructions given to you by management (i.e overall restaurant cleaning).
  • Work well under pressure
  • Keep composure and be presentable at all times
  • Understand the customer; who they are, their expectations and how to effectively manage them to create the best experience and ensure repeat custom.
  • Be uncompromising in achieving company standards.
  • Communicate relevant information regularly, efficiently and concisely to the team and senior management.
  • Be able to adapt style when dealing with all kinds of people in a wide range of situations.
  • Quick rapport building with team and guests.
