    Introduction

    We are a fast-growing, global content agency that delivers amazing audience-led content that helps brands connect with their audiences. We work for global brands and organisations including Unilever, Campari, Sanofi and many others. As our strategic support and output increase, we are expanding our team, led by our Head of Content.

    We are looking for a dynamic Editor for an upcoming project at Greenpark. This is a freelance content role with the primary objective of maximising website traffic and brand awareness for a leading global alcohol brand. This role requires that the person be based in the US, or have extensive US market experience with alcohol brands. The project will be managed out of the UK office. Editorial excellence, brand affinity, alcohol industry knowledge, performance mindset and creative ideas will all be essential to this role.

    It is essential that candidates have a WSET Level 3 qualification or above. We are also seeking those who understand the intricacies of high-end or luxury alcohol brands and the related industry and its consumers, with a focus on Champagne and Whiskey & Bourbon - the taste profiles, the way it is made, the lifestyle surrounding whiskey and bourbon, but also an understanding of the US market for how people are currently consuming this beverage and therefore how we can communicate the brand's messaging and market position.

    Why the job exists

  • To work with the wider project team in editing, crafting engaging SEO optimised copy and editorial copy for a luxury alcohol brand (champagne, whiskey, bourbon).
  • To intimately understand the luxury alcohol industry and its brands to represent them immaculately in the written word.
  • To lead on content planning, ways of working and content production and processing.
  • To establish and maintain tone of voice and brand guidelines and be guardians of these guidelines.
  • To lead on multiple content executions across web and to recommend ways of working around this.
  • To work closely with creative to create visuals to accompany the written content.
  • To ensure the highest level of editorial quality is produced consistently and to deadline.

    • What the job covers

  • Delivering the highest quality editorial content, based on performance analytics to the client each month.
  • Supporting the planning and scheduling of editorial and social content production.
  • Supporting the client and content squad with creative ideation and with maintaining tone of voice across all platforms.

    • Responsibilities

  • Writing and editing SEO-lead editorial copy for this high-end brand in multiple formats, as required.
  • Working closely with the SEO team on delivering highly optimised content.
  • Input to the creation and ideation of editorial content calendars that align to strategic priorities.
  • Working within editorial and channel best practices to deliver exceptional quality for our clients.
  • Participating in ideation sessions for content creation, where required.

    • Required Experience

  • ESSENTIAL: WSET Level 3 qualification or above for both Wine and Spirits.
  • Minimum 5+ years writing optimised SEO copy in the digital space for different channels including web and social.
  • Extensive experience writing and editing about alcohol brands or the alcohol industry (US), with a focus on luxury or high-end brands, particularly with champagne, whiskey and bourbon.
  • Demonstratable ability in understanding niche audience groups and their needs surrounding the product.
  • Experience in talking to and interviewing experts to inform article creation.
  • Keen understanding of SEO and editorial best practices.
  • Experience in writing non-search based editorial content that tells a brand story.
  • Ability to adapt to brand tone of voice and turn their hand to different subject matter day-to-day.
  • Ideal but not essential - experience in localisation and transcreation for different markets.
