    Veterinary Surgeon
    Usk Veterinary Centre, The Veterinary Centre
    Up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

    We are looking for a veterinary surgeon who is confident, friendly and who is a team player, to join our passionate team.

    Our vets work across our main surgery and branches on a shared rota, with a mix of consulting, surgical and inpatient work.

    We have certificate holders in both small animal medicine and surgery, allowing us to not only diagnose and treat the majority of our cases in-house, but also provide support to other team members in their career progression.

    Typically, our full-time position is 40 per week, working between the hours of 8.We know that work life balance is important so we are open to discussing working days/hours that would suit you.

    Our weekends are shared between 6 veterinary surgeons leaving you to share a 1 in 3 rota. We do not run our own OOH surgery this is handled within a ten-minute drive to our local VetsNow. We are happy for full or part time applications.

    We are a two-site, small animal practice in the heart of Monmouthshire and our branch surgery is within a ten-minute drive away.

    Our Practice is set a stone throw away from Monmouthshire river which our staff and their dogs enjoy at lunchtimes.

    We have our own laboratory for in house use, DR X-ray machine with SignalPet Use, Dental x-ray and separate Dental theatre along with our prep rooms and main Theatre, Ultrasound machine, endoscopy and Walk In Kennels.

    You will be joining a team of 6 veterinary surgeons, 10 nurses and 9 receptionists and practice manager.

    We pride ourselves on our longstanding team and we are committed to excellent clinical care and extremely high standards, with a silver level cat friendly status from the ISFM and RCVS PSS General Practice accreditation in our main Usk site.

    Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with the confidence of sole charge would be beneficial but not essential. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from -Work-life balance
