Description

Electrical Engineer - Semiconductor - Lincoln, UK.

We have partnered with a business with over 50 years of market experience and a Global supplier of products and services specializing in the field of power semiconductor devices and silicon on sapphire integrated circuit products.

The power products they manufacture include IGBTs, various types of Thyristor and GTOs.

As the business expands we are now Looking for an Electrical engineer to join the Power Assemblies team.

The opportunity:

Responsible for creating the tools and providing support and guidance to the Design / Production teams to build and complete the projects in line with the customer requirements and specifications.

Creating Electrical schematics inclusive of cable schedules/calculations/single-line diagrams/block diagrams / I/O lists and BOM's/engineering documentation.
Assist the power electronics team members with integration of electrical design.
Undertake and ensure design data/simulations/calculations are captured and stored (technical design file).
Creation & compilation of operation & maintenance manuals.
Creation & performing of RAMS/FMEA's/HAZID's/HAZOP's/Final inspections/validation of electrical designs
Systems Integration
Assisting in testing products/equipment, liaising with production on build's, testing activities and project management (small scale).

About you:
Academically qualified - HNC Electrical and/or Electronic or above.
10 years of experience working within an Electrical Engineering position.
Sound foundation and knowledge of Power Electronics would be advantageous.
Familiar with mechanical assembly of devices and copper busbar systems.
Knowledge of panel assembly/fabrication techniques.
Previous knowledge of design/manufacturing processes & control panels.
Good knowledge of electrical standards/compliance
Full UK clean driving license (travel may be required on an ad hoc basis).
