2nd Line Support Technician


Growing Newcastle tech company of approaching 50 staff requires 2nd Line Support Technician as part of its ongoing and future plans.


_Reporting to the Support Team Leader _ _your main responsibilities as _ _2nd Line Support _ _Technician_ _ will include:_

  • Handling and resolving escalations from 1st line support
  • Providing bespoke software solutions
  • Resolving more complex network issues
  • Producing custom reports
  • Supporting data migration activity
  • Systems administration
  • Database management (SQL)

_As _ _2nd Line Support Technician_ _, you'll need:_

  • Solid experience of working on a 2nd or 3rd Line Tech Support Desk, ideally gained in a fastmoving service driven software or tech environment, taking ownership of incidents
  • Good analytical and technical skills (software and hardware) with the ability to quickly problem solve and triage
  • Ability to provide support to a variety of customers and teams under a range of circumstances.
  • PC/literacy skills confident use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook to a good standard
  • Able to use IT tools and services that enable specific products to be supported
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels (from end user to client)
