Description

Principal Engineer
-
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Project Manager as Principal Engineer you will:_

  • Ensure your team delivers technically compliant products on time and to budget
  • Act as technical interface between the company and the client
  • Produce the system functional description for the design
  • Allocate, control and monitor the work of your team
  • Review and approve all documentation
  • Chair design reviews
  • Present design review materials to the client
  • Identify variations
  • Manage the limits of the scope of works

As Principal Engineer, you will need to be:_

  • An experienced Power Electronics Engineer
  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering (min.
2:1)

  • Experienced in the design and test of power electronic convertors or Motor Drives
  • Experienced in the use of PLECS or Matlab/Simulink
  • Experienced in power electronics design, analogue and systems engineering, digital electronics, embedded systems and control engineering
  • Literate and articulate
  • Comfortable liaising with customers and suppliers
